Green Christmas Gift/Embellished Shopping Bags

Here are the gifts I made for my coworkers this year.  It was very economical, using premade bags from the store and scraps from my stash.  These would be a great gift for a teacher, postman, etc.  Here are the pictures:

These bags were fun and very easy to personalize to fit the person.  They used up some of the myriad amounts of scraps to boot.  If anyone is interested in a tutorial about this please leave me a message, and I will be glad to post one.  These particular bags I purchased from JoAnn Fabrics for $1.  Some of the blocks where orphan blocks.  All in all, this was a very economical present, and the girls at the office just LOVED them.

  1. Very nice! I've often thought of doing this with the store bags, but never got around to it... they look so much better than before! I'm sure everyone will love their bag :)

  2. Very cute!! I love how they turned out!
